about

I make the Noise.Noise already exists in nature, but what I do is embody it. Italian noise musician Luigi Russolo said in his book The art of noises(Luigi Russolo,1913) "Since the development of the industry, noise has existed." Before that, it was quiet, and with the advent of the machine, noise became diverse. This music was inspired by the sentence and played.

In the beginning, from the noise that signals the birth of the 19th century industrial revolution to the second half, the sound becomes more complex and dry. This means the modern society (industrial diversity) that lies in too much noise.
This may look similar to Christian Marclay's (1955~), but CDs are completely different digital media.
Play or stop, play back or play faster and play slower. This is an impromptu work.Data processing makes accidental music.Christian Marclay's randomly used records to think that they were related to analog characteristics (time) such as the speed at which records change and how long they stayed at the turntable.
In his work, this process is the most important.
But on the contrary,
I was like, "What can't I do because it's a turntable?
"I focused on."
Make it into several sound sources and bake it with a CD :)
The recent CD Player (Pioneer CDJ) found that MP3s can also be played, but the range of pitches that determine the playback speed is different.
So I always make a CD.
And it's not interesting to use MP3 music as it is.
This is because we all live and feel on the computer :(
Now I'm playing the CD.
Eurorack Modular Synth acts as a little effector, but I don't use all of it. The focus is CD Player.
Just as paintings also have pictures like beautiful landscapes and abstract paintings that seem to be unknown, music is the same.Music without specific images or stories will also find the beauty of the structure itself.
I hope You can also feel an aesthetic sense in the balance and connection of sound and form itself.

YI SEUNGGYU is a Korean electronic musician based in Japan. He approaches sound in a raw manner, combining analog modular synthesizers and computer programming than differentiating them.
